Below you will find lessons and activities from Mr. Lebo, Mrs. Erk, and Mrs. Gassman that you can complete throughout the week! Some you many want to complete more than once (like the yoga video!)

Week 1 (March 30-April 3)

Sometimes it can be hard to tell others how we feel without blaming them! This video can help you learn how to use I-Statements to be better at sharing our thoughts.

10 minute yoga session - use this to get your day started - or even to just get up and move!

Practice using your I-Statements - Play a card game or board game with someone in your family. If you get frustrated or upset, use I-Statements to talk to your family!

Week 2 (April 6-April 10)

Listen to the book "Be You" read by the author, Peter Reynolds.

Week 4 (April 20-April 24)

Listen to the book Thelma the Unicorn and think about the following questions:

  • Why do you think Thelma feels insecure about herself in the beginning of the story?

  • Do you think Thelma was deceitful to pretend to be a unicorn? Explain your answer.

  • Can you understand why she acts as she does? How can our negative emotions sometimes lead us to act in negative ways?

  • Why is Otis an important part of the story, even though he isn’t in the story for long? Why are the people who love us just as we are so important?

Think about the story you just heard. Can you remember a time you ever felt insecure? What happened right before you felt that way? How did you move forward?

10 minute Yoga Stretch - you might want to do this every day!
