Below you will find lessons and activities from Mr. Lebo, Mrs. Erk, and Mrs. Gassman that you can complete throughout the week! Some you many want to complete more than once (like the yoga video!)

Week 1 (March 30-April 3)

Sometimes it can be hard to tell others how we feel without blaming them! This video can help you learn how to use I-Statements to be better at sharing our thoughts.

10 minute yoga session - use this to get your day started - or even to just get up and move!

Practice using your I-Statements - Play a card game or board game with someone in your family. If you get frustrated or upset, use I-Statements to talk to your family!

Week 2 (April 6-April 10)

Listen to the book "Be You" read by the author, Peter Reynolds.

Think about the book you just listened to. What are 3 things you think the author, Peter Reynolds, wants you to do after reading/hearing his book?

10 minute Yoga Flow - you might want to do this every day!

Week 3 (April 13-April 17)

Watch the video about emotions and the emotions hokey pokey!

We talked about emotions at the beginning of the school year! This is a reminder for you of different emotions and feelings. What are some feelings you have had this week? Do you think it's okay to feel those? Why or why not?

10 minute Yoga Stretch - you might want to do this every day!

Week 4 (April 20-April 24)
  1. How does Little Critter feel in this story? Why is he so mad?

  2. Why do you think the adults in this story don’t want Little Critter to do the things he wants to do like juggle and decorate the house? Is there a way he could have done things differently so the adults would have allowed him to do them? (example: juggle with something less breakable).

  3. Do you think Little Critter is still mad at the end of the story when he goes to play with his friends? What makes Little Critter feel better?

Think about the story you just heard. Can you remember a time you ever felt mad? What has helped you feel better after being mad?

10 minute Yoga Stretch - you might want to do this every day!

Week 5 (April 27- May 1)

Can you name the emotions that are being described?

Practice naming and talking about emotions with someone in your house! See if you can guess what they are feeling, and if they can guess what you are feeling! You can even try the game with just body language and facial expressions!

10 minute Yoga focusing on neck and shoulders - you might want to do this every day!

Week 6 (May 4- May 8)

Listen to the book "Be You" read aloud. What do you think the book is really about? What does it mean to be you?  Discuss this with someone in your house!
